Activating Your
Community for Design
Imagine a school powered by the voices of its community.
The day starts with a morning meeting, uniting teachers, students, and leaders to set the collaborative tone for the day.
Classes are immersive and project-based, tackling real-world issues that resonate with everyone involved. Lunchtime brings mentoring sessions with local professionals. Afternoons are spent in community service or internships, turning learning into action.
This vibrant, inclusive environment is made possible when a school transformation team deliberately and deeply listens to the voices and aspirations of their community—exactly how Crosstown High achieved its innovative and community-driven approach.
