This assessment prompts you to reflect on the essential skills and conditions for effective school transformation.

While we will take a moment to learn about these elements, it's important to emphasize that this is not the time to reach consensus.

Instead, we’ll focus on gathering insights and deepening our understanding, paving the way for informed discussions and decisions in the future. This approach ensures that everyone is equipped with the knowledge needed to contribute effectively to the redesign process.

Let's Gear up & Get Inspired before we Dive in and Try this out!

School Design Team Skills for Leading Innovation

We believe it boils down to these three skills for leading innovation:

Vision Setting

Unites the community around a shared purpose, providing clarity for decision-making and future planning.

Leadership Ability and Alignment

Empowers School Design Teams to guide the process, build strong teams, and effectively communicate with the community.

Experimentation and Innovation

Fosters a culture of creativity and risk-taking, enabling the exploration of new ideas and solutions that enhance learning experiences.

School Design Team Conditions

We’ve learned just how crucial conditions are for a design team's success, and we believe they boil down to the following:

  • Individual Conviction: A deep personal belief in the importance and potential of the work, fueling engagement and prioritization.
  • Individual Capacity: The knowledge, skills, time, and commitment needed to carry out the work successfully.
  • School Design Team Conviction: A shared belief within the team that drives engagement and prioritizes the work.
  • School Design Team Capacity: The collective knowledge, skills, time, and commitment required for success.
  • Whole School Community Conviction: A community-wide belief in the work’s importance that encourages engagement and prioritization.
  • Whole School Community Capacity: The support and resources available within the community to carry out the work.

These elements are essential for fostering a supportive environment that drives effective transformation and enhances student outcomes.
